(01/04/06) Global software provider Volia Software became an official member of the World Telemarket Forum (TM Forum), a non-profit global organization that provides leadership, strategic guidance and practical solutions to improve information and communications services.
The international consortium is comprised of more than 400 members, including leading international telecommunication operators Vodafone, BT, France Telecom, Telecom Italia, Deutsche Telekom, AT&T, telecommunication developers Agilent, Alcatel, Cisco, Ericsson, Motorola, Nortel, Siemens as well as consulting companies and system integrators Accenture, Ernst and Young and IBM.The goal of TM Forum is to improve the efficiency of business process automation of telecom companies by implementing more dynamic and efficient OSS/BSS technologies and environment. The consortium runs the industry’s leading OSS/BSs Conference and Exposition, and its standards are being adopted by the United Nations body, International Telecommunications Union (ITU).
As a member of TM Forum, Volia Software will have a better opportunity to take their products, specifically OSS/BSS systems to a new competitive level. The company also plans to take an active role in other TM Forum activities, including the development of NGOSS methodology and its related components. Volia Software also plans on partaking in joint projects involving other TM Forum members.
